How PDF redaction works

FileKit renders each page with pdf.js so you can draw redaction rectangles directly on the canvas. When applied, pdf-lib draws solid black filled rectangles over those exact coordinates, permanently obscuring the content. All processing is local — your document never leaves the browser.
